Hiring a car is the best way to see Corsica, and we are pleased to offer a competitively priced service with Hertz, our partner on the island.

The majority of our holiday prices include car hire as that is the best option for your Corsica holiday.

If your package holiday price includes a transfer and you wish to hire a car or would like to upgrade from one group to another, prices are shown in the table below. With offices at all four airports, Hertz offers a good level of customer service to our guests. Car hire on the island is in great demand, especially in peak times, therefore it is advisable to book as early as possible.

Please call us if you require a hire car for a flight only booking on one of our flights.

To upgrade from the car type included in your holiday, calculate the difference between the car you require and the type included in your holiday package price. Please note that mentioned makes and models are examples only and can not be guaranteed.

Electric vehicles make up the majority of Hertz car fleet, therefore its highly likely you will receive an electric car.

Please note a CREDIT card swipe in the name of the main driver as stated on your booking will be required to collect your hire car. Please note Hertz DO NOT accept debit cards.

Our Corsica car hire prices include:

  • Unlimited mileage
  • Two named drivers per car

  • E-Motum pre-paid refill card to last the duration of hire

Our car hire prices do not include:

  • Third driver - can be added at the collection desk
  • Child or baby seats (supplement applies)
  • Fuel or charge for charging points different from E-Motum 
  • Speeding fine charges
  • One-way fee (speak to us for quotes)
  • Extra cover for breakdown in Sardina for twin-centre holidays (from £3 per day)
  • Super Collision Damage Waiver and Super Theft Protection (see below)

CDW and Theft excess
Get covered for all possible charges with Bettersafe! To avoid being liable for collision and theft charges, we are pleased to work alongside Bettersafe - Insurance professionals specialising in Car Hire excess insurance. If you would like to organise an excess policy to financially protect you in case of accidental damage please follow this link to obtain a quote which starts from as little as £20 for a week's cover.

Alternatively, you can choose to take out the Super Collision Damage Waiver locally at a cost of approx €25pd

The below amounts are the maximum amounts you could be charged by the car hire company, should the car be stolen, or should any damage happen to the vehicle.

Tyres and windscreens are not included in the standard CDW. We recommend taking out the excess insurance mentioned above, as any punctures or windscreen damage may be charged for.

Booster seats and baby seats (front facing from nine months) can be reserved via us at the time of booking, at a supplement, however we recommend you take your own booster/baby seats, which can be carried free of charge on many of our flights. For babies requiring a rear-facing seat, these must be taken by yourself.

Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have held a full licence for at least one year.

Drivers under 25 will incur a daily young driver supplement, payable locally at €42pd.

The cleaning fee for returning a dirty car is from €70.
 

Self-drive touring routes

A hire car is a perfect way to enjoy a self-drive touring holiday on the island. With your hire car, you have the freedom to explore the island at your own pace and under your own steam. Driving in Corsica is simple, you will drive on roads with beautiful scenery and coastal areas with breathtaking views.

Porto Vecchio to Corte

From the beautiful southern town of Porto Vecchio take the north road up through to Aléria and onto the interior town of Corte, You will drive along some beautiful coastal roads, and ancient bridges covering deep gorges and fragrant forest routes. Above the Tavigno valley sits the citadel of Corte, a pretty village, bustling with café culture.

Corte to Calvi

From mountains to sea here, with mountain roads on the agenda you will come across roads with the most beautiful scenery. As you make your way up the central interior you will edge closer to the north coast where the roads forks; take the left fork and you will soon reach L'Ile Rousse - a beautiful laid-back town with lively cafés, ice-cream parlours and restaurants. Further on you will reach Aglajola a stunning little village, well worth a stop-off (we have some great properties both here and in L'Ile Rousse). Transfers

Car hire is the recommended way to see the island. We can however arrange transfers to a selection of our accommodations that are are conveniently located with a choice of amenities including restaurants, shops and beaches within walking distance. Please contact us for details.
