There is no shortage of stunning coastline in Corsica, providing the perfect family day out on its shoreline.

When it comes to beaches in Corsica, we are truly spoilt, there is nothing quite like the white sand and turquoise waters, gently shelving and backed by pine forests. Our experts delve into the top 5 beaches for families in Corsica.

1. Porto Pollo, West Coast

A busy resort in a pretty horseshoe bay, boasting a gently shelving, sandy beach. This sleepy area is the ideal place for a family day out, and the large bay is perfect for finding a private spot to relax. Younger children will delight in the turquoise water and soft sands, whilst parents will enjoy the sunloungers and umbrellas available to guests at the beach. There are local restaurants to enjoy lunch in, as well as parking and public toilets, all making the beach a very accessible and convenient place to visit.

For older children, there is the opportunity to rent SUP boards, and for the whole family, boat rental is possible here, a lovely way to spend a day! Browse accommodation in the area here.

2. Pinarello, L'Extrême Sud

This long sweep of white sand is backed by pine forest, making it ideal for any members of the family who seek shade. This is a fantastic beach, with a long wide stretch of warm, shallow waters. Younger children will love making sandcastles in the soft sand and splashing in the shoreline, whilst older children may fancy SUP-surfing and kiteboarding, or even windsurfing! Browse accommodation in the area here.

3. L'Ille Rousse, la Balagne

This town beach is generally patrolled each day, making it a perfectly safe beach for a family day out. The crystal clear, warm waters are ideal for little ones and the soft golden sand makes for great sunbathing spots. Watersports are also available at this beach. L'Ille Rousse is a laid-back seaside town and there is plenty to see and do away from the beach. To browse accommodation in la Balgane click here.

4. Santa Giulia, L'Extrême Sud

Perhaps the most photogenic beach on the island, in our expert's opinion! Sitting proudly in a stunning horseshoe bay, its shallow and tranquil waters are crystal-clear and perfect for splashing around with younger children in the family. Pretty rocks on the edge of the bay make a great backdrop and a fun place to be. The beach is just a 10-15 minute drive from Porto Vecchio, a delightful town with boutique shops and restaurants down at the marina. Browse accommodation in the area here.

5. Calvi Beach, la Balagne

Calvi Beach, a sweeping bay of white sand, is right in the town, making it super convenient for families to visit. If you are staying in the town you can simply walk down to the beach, however, ample parking is available if you are further afield. It can also be reached by the little train that runs along the coast if you are staying in other areas in la Balagne region. There are several restaurants and cafés to frequent, some of which serve directly onto the beach, another reason why this beach is so family friendly! Take a look at our accommodation in the Calvi and la Balgane regions here.
