Should you choose a resort for your next Corsican holiday? Here at Corsican Places we love the small and boutique hotels, as well as the fabulous self-catering properties on offer.

Whilst there are many resorts to choose from in Corsica, here at Corsican Places we have limited resort hotels within our range as we do encourage our guests to stay at the smaller hotels and villas on offer all over the island. There are many reasons for this and we will show you why!

Supporting the local economy

Although larger resorts are great, when you stay at a small hotel that offers bed and breakfast or half board, you then have the opportunity to visit the neighbouring towns and villages for your meals and sightseeing opportunities. This is fantastic for the local economy and means that local business owners thrive during the summer months, months that are vital to them and their businesses when the season ends in the autumn. 

Soaking up the local culture

Whilst resorts are great for a fly-and-flop holiday, Corsica is packed full of culture that is just waiting to be explored! Choose a small boutique hotel or even self-catering accommodation options and soak up the culture and atmosphere in the local towns and villages! A bonus of choosing self-catering is that you can buy local produce for your meals from the local markets and grocers, the perfect way to immerse and live like a local!
