The world around us may have changed over the past 16 months, but our commitment to providing the best possible holidays and service we can has remained constant.
As a specialist, we want to provide all the local support and knowledge our customers need to create lasting memories but we also want to provide a choice in how our service is used, so we have taken some time to reflect on how we provide our resort service and have made some improvements.
We appreciate travellers are becoming far more independent, people have become far more proficient in video conference calls and chat plus many of our repeat customers have told us they do not want a face-to-face meeting (we’re not offended, honestly) as they prefer to be out, making the most of their time on the island. In the future, we’ll be offering a greater choice in how guests can communicate with our local reps including phone calls, chat, video chat and face to face while in resort. Rather than having to make the choice at the time of booking, customers will receive a text on arrival in Corsica and they can then decide how they want to speak to their rep.
When our customers meet with our representatives it’s an informal get together, a chance for guests to ask questions about ways they can enhance their holiday experience and use their rep’s specialist knowledge of little-known beaches and off-the-beaten-track local restaurants. Corsican Places’ reps provide a very personalised service and are not in any way affiliated with local businesses to earn money – no hard sell here, just passion and enthusiasm for providing the best holidays we can.
As an independent company we are also focussed on sustainable tourism and are always looking at ways of cutting our carbon footprint, and video calls will be another way to help us achieve this. Our larger hotels and residences will maintain their weekly representative appointments which as always, will be optional for guests to attend and our representatives will still be at the airport to meet our own charter flights to provide assistance should it be required.

Our team in Corsica is not just brought in for a season, they have either chosen to make the island their home or they return year after year to the place that they love. We believe it is still vital that our customers have local representation as they are best placed to assist with any issues which may arise and let’s face it, no-one knows an area like the people who actually live there. Our guests can contact our reps by telephone at any time if they need assistance during their time in Corsica.
