The World’s 50 Best Beaches 2025 and Europe’s 50 Best Beaches 2025 have just been revealed, with Corsica’s stunning shorelines making many deserved appearances.
Luckily for you, finding your dream beach holiday destination this summer just got that little bit easier. Here’s everything you need to know about Corsica’s winning beaches, and our ideal accommodations that are just around the corner.
Located on the southern coast of Corsica, this crescent-shaped shore is one of the island’s most desirable beach destinations. With an idyllic lagoon feel, shallow warm waters, and powdery white sand, Santa Giulia is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Framed by the prominent Mediterranean mountains seen all over Corsica, this beach is celebrated for its preserved natural beauty, while still being accessible and convenient for beach-goers. The soft sand extends well into the turquoise waters, making it easy to go for a dip barefoot or enjoy a touch of water sports. Santa Giulia’s busiest times typically reflect the peak temperature in July and August, making June and September a great compromise to avoid crowds while still experiencing warm weather.

Discover quiet spots to relax upon Santa Giulia Beach.
When booking a package holiday with us, you’ll find many of our accommodations in L'Extrême Sud, the most southerly tip of the island, are within just a short drive of Santa Giulia. Notably, Santa Giulia Palace, Hôtel San Giovanni, La Plage Casadelmar, and Les Terasses di Rondinara are all easily accessible, no further than a 20-minute drive. The drive is made ever easier thanks to the inclusion of a hire car when booking our package deals.

Plage de Palombaggia has deservedly earned its place as the 16th best beach to visit in Europe. Just 10km along the coast from Santa Giulia, Plage de Palombaggia shares the same picture-perfect shoreline and azure-tinted waters. Often described as Corsica’s most famous beach, it offers Caribbean-style crystal sparkling waters, dotted with fragrant pine groves. This sweeping stretch of sand truly is the embodiment of Mediterranean perfection, delivering an unforgettable escape into a postcard come to life. Tucked just a short drive from the quaint town of Porto-Vecchio, it is again easily accessible from many of our L'Extrême Sud accommodations, such as Hotel Shegara, Salina Bay and Casanghjulina.

This final beach is a bit of a hidden gem, an unspoilt crescent of sand, tucked within the Agriates Desert in the North of the island. Its secluded nature makes it slightly less accessible than your typical holidaymaker’s beach, yet still reachable by car, or of course boat. For this reason, Loto Beach remains a secret to many; calm, tranquil, and framed by the untamed Corsican landscape. There is not a sunbed insight, but instead silky white sand, impossibly clear waters, and pure serenity. Often described as a swimmer’s paradise, Lotu Beach is certainly suited to those who prefer to discover their own hidden haven over the convenience of crowded shorelines. From St Florent, Loto Beach is a one-hour car ride away, made easily accessible with our competitively priced car hire. We currently offer multiple accommodation options in St Florent, including friendly hotels such as Hôtel Flor, and premium villas such as L’Ancre Bleue, meaning you could be relaxing on the tranquil shore of Loto Beach in no time. Loto beach can also be reached on a boat trip from Calvi, making a fantastic day out from any of our properties in la Balagne region.
