Blog > Top five reasons to stay at Villa Kalliste

Villa Kallisté is an absolute stunner within our comprehensive accommodation collection. Here are five reasons why we love it so much.

We offer a wide range of accommodation in the north, south and west of the island, and we’re really proud of our hand-picked collection but there are a few properties we get extra excited about, and this contemporary retreat is such a property.

Villa Kallisté is a two-bedroomed villa, sleeping up to four, and is situated in the most tranquil of locations, just outside the historic hillside village of Olmeto. Here are five reasons why this is one of our favourites.

1. The stunning view

Surely the top reason why anyone would choose to stay here, it’s the kind of view you can’t tear your eyes away from. Morning, noon or night, the view across the Valinco Gulf is simply stunning.

2. A newly built villa

It’s a new build however it nestles into the hillside like it was always meant to be there; the stylish design of the building, inside and out, complements the natural surroundings.

3. The fantastic swimming pool and terrace

The property boasts an inviting swimming pool and terrace that is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing or cooling off in the shaded areas.

4. Close to beaches on the west coast

You’ll be spoilt for choice, beach wise. Corsica has over 1000km of glorious coastline and this part of Corsica is known for its intimate sandy coves lined with huge boulders and hidden-away gems as well as a few larger well-known stunners such as Campomoro, Capicciolo and Cupabia.

5. Close to Olmeto

Olmeto is just a five-minute drive from Villa Kallisté and is a charming village with a grandstand view over the larger coastal town of Propriano. You’ll find local shops here plus historic old houses, vaulted passages and narrow cobbled streets. There are a few restaurants where you can sample some delicious Corsican cuisine.

The countryside around Villa Kallisté has a rugged beauty which makes it ideal for hiking, the trails lead you around and up and down with some serious stunning coastal views. If you’re able to tear yourself away from Villa Kallisté and would like to find out more about the area, then check out our guide to Valinco and the West Coast.

If there is a downside to Villa Kallisté, it’s that it is a very popular villa. Just over half of our weeks are already sold for 2022 so if you’ve been inspired by this blog and would like to book for next year then please don’t delay too long, or you might have to wait until 2023. Alternatively, have a look at its sister property, Villa Bumortu, which benefits from the same great views and location.
