The villa is just a short drive from the village which has a couple of restaurants, a café bar and two village shops. Arinella Plage, just a short drive downhill, offers both a small, sandy beach and rocky coves which are particularly suitable for snorkelling. There is also a pleasant seafood restaurant on the beach.

Villa Ogliastrelli

I love this fabulous villa; it is totally unpretentious and great value for money. It is light and spacious and really cared for, and unlike some houses it is not overloaded with furnishings. Ogliastrelli does not have as many mod cons as some of our other villas but we found that it had everything you would need for a holiday. As the garden is totally enclosed, Ogliastrelli must be one of the best villas if you have young children . The pool is walled as well and the villa is all on one level which means it is easy to move around for toddlers.

Set below the road down to Arinella Plage, it is in a great situation with good views out over the hillside towards the bay. There is a restaurant / pizzeria up the road and a grocery shop in the village which sells all the essentials. The beach at Arinella is nice chunky sand, that doesnt blow into your sandwiches and there is a great beachside restaurant that sells good seafood. Calvi is just a short drive away or why not walk to the abandoned village of Occi just above Lumio, a walk that takes about 45 minutes.
