Located just a short walk from the heart of L’Ile Rousse, the Hacienda apartments are ideal for a young family or couples seeking a central location. The studio apartments are situated in two buildings, and each has its own private terrace facing onto the well-kept garden area of the résidence. The apartments themselves are simply equipped and furnished for holidays, but nicely appointed with bright décor. Guests are able to take their breakfast either on the terrace of their apartment or you can opt for a delicious continental breakfast (payable locally) in a pleasantly decorated covered courtyard area, next to the large shared pool. As the name suggests, the buildings at l’Hacienda are dressed in traditional stone to give a pleasant "ranch style" appearance to the résidence. A peaceful place yet so close to L’Ile Rousse town centre.

I began my time with Corsican Places in the reservations department and I must say that I made lots of booking for L'Hacienda. There are so many good things about this place. It is only a 5-minute walk from the centre of I'Ile Rousse which has a large square with cafes and eateries. Trailing off down one side street takes you into the old quarter with cobbled streets and more restaurants. There are shops dotted in and around the square and side streets and you can also see the beach from the square as well. You have everything here!

The accommodation is a studio apartment but a partition wall separates it so you have a bedroom area with bathroom and a separate kitchenette with breakfast bar so it's spaced out well, unlike having your kitchen in your bedroom!

The grounds have flowery vines and bushes so very quaint with a good sized pool area for relaxing. Parking is just steps away and you are such a short distance from Calvi and all the villages in the hills set back from the coast that you don't even need to drive very far from the airport or to experience the real Corsica either!
