Corsica is situated in the heart of the Mediterranean, 170km off the French coast and 80 kms from Italy.
Corsica has both French and Italian flavours but retains a distinct personality.
Corsica is the perfect destination for those who enjoy life outdoors, clean air and lots of activities.
If you enjoy just lying by the sea, the beaches are some of the best in the Mediterranean, but Corsica offers a plethora of water and land sports for the enthusiast.
This region offers fantastic diving with some superb underwater landscapes. For those who are unqualified, an initiation dive (baptême) can be arranged. Alternatively those who are qualified can go on organised dives, rent equipment and even do a course. You will find lots of dive clubs dotted around this area including those in Cargese and Sagone.
Corsica is a popular destination amongst watersports enthusiasts with its rugged coastline, particularly on the west coast where you will find sea breezes, perfect for windsurfing. Watersports in the area range from windsurfing, Jet skiing, sailing, canoeing and motorboat hire which can all be organised from various gulfs along the coast.
If you prefer activities on dry land there is plenty of alternatives including hiking, mountain biking, quad biking, tennis, horse riding and climbing.
