The Corsicans are a conservative bunch, which is why Villa Luiggi, a modernist glass cube that would gladden Le Corbusier’s heart, has caused a bit of a stir locally — they’ve even made a TV programme about it. Still, all but die-hard traditionalists agree it’s a triumph, with slick looks and a great pool, and those windows make the most of the huge views across to L’Ile Rousse.
