Make Holidays Greener Month - July 2012
Corsican Places is pleased to be supporting Make Holidays Greener Month – a consumer awareness campaign running throughout July 2012, set up by The Travel Foundation. The aim of the campaign is to engage travellers with the concept of ‘greener’ holidays, which help to protect the environment and benefit local people in tourist destinations.

Corsican Places’ Big Green Idea!
In partnership with the Tourism Industry Carbon Offset Service (TICOS), and with the support of our customers, suppliers and staff, we will be making our charter flights to Corsica for the month of July carbon neutral.
If you have not yet ‘Opted in’ to our Carbon Offset Scheme and wish to support ‘Make Holidays Greener’ by donating £3 per person, please contact our administration team on

Corsican Places will allocate the carbon offset funds raised during the month of July to a new reforestation project in Southern Corsica, organised through the Office National des Forêts. As forest fires can thwart the Corsican landscape throughout the summer, reforestation is vital for the replenishment of the forests and to sustain the eco-systems of the island.
