Honey is an integral part of Corsica's local produce and deserves its own festival on the island which is held every year in Murzo in September.
This is the perfect opportunity for foreign visitors to taste local products and purchase some of the best honey in Europe for friends back home.
There is a large range of choice from orange honey, to lavender or strawberry tree honey, some marked with the AOC label.
This year's 12th edition of the Mele in Festa will take place on September, 20th and 21st.
Murzo is located around one hour north of capital Ajaccio.
