The number of jobs created in Corsica has increased by 16.3 per cent from 2002 to 2007, the central agency for the Social Security bodies, Acoss, has claimed.
The island is therefore France's most dynamic region in terms of employment, followed by the Languedoc-Roussillon region with 11.4 per cent and Midi-Pyrenees with 10.2 per cent.
Among the most dynamic sectors we find the building industry and the services.
Corsica is particularly active in the summer when the high season creates thousands of new seasonal jobs every year.
