The village of Calenzana is home to some 1,500 inhabitants who have set home in one of the most picturesque area of the island.
Corsica's mountains surround the village which is located 300 metres above sea level, and is only a ten-minute drive away to the coast and Calvi airport.
In this part of the world, the time seems to have stopped as locals make their own traditional cheese "casgiu calinzanicu", Corsican cakes "E cuciulelle", "Camellu" wine, honey, charcuterie and almond sweets.
