The medieval site of Capula is a popular excursion for visitors to the Alta Rocca region in south Corsica, offering pleasant panoramas overlooking the surrounding valleys and villages.
From the revolt against the Saracens, to Ugo Colonna's faith conquest in the ninth century, the area around Capula castle is extremely rich in history.
The ruins are located near the village of Levie and are easily accessible from Port-Vecchio (45 minutes), capital Ajaccio (1.5 hours) and Sartene (25 minutes).
