Despite the current economic climate, Britons are still planning foreign holidays, figures from the Post Office suggest.
Sales of euros rose by 3.2 per cent in June and July, suggesting that Brits are still keen on overseas breaks.
And instead of heading to other currency zones to offset the increased strength of the euro, Brits are sticking close to home.
Euro sales have grown by six per cent over the course of 2008, which Post Office suggests is proof of "the resilient demand for holidays in the euro zone".
