The popular holiday resort of Porto-Vecchio in Corsica is the ideal spot for a luxury holiday, one expert has said.
Situated on the south of the island, the town and the nearby Bonifacio can offer tourists a "luxurious getaway".
The reliable climate also makes Corsica popular with holidaymakers, said Lucy White, editor of the Rough Guide to Corsica.
"In the summer, the weather can be relied upon to be hot and sunny," she commented.
