Visitors to Corsica should not miss Calvi's major annual celebrations tomorrow for France's Assumption Day.

Every year, thousands of visitors flock to the Citadel town to admire the fireworks and the traditional sound and light show which turns the citadel into a truly magical fortress.

This year's displays will be around the theme of sport and the Olympic Games.

The fireworks will begin at 11pm.

Calvi is located in north Corsica, around one and a half hours west of Bastia airport.
