In response to a high demand for mooring spots on the Beauty Island, various projects to build a further 3,000 mooring places are currently underway, Le Figaro has reported.
Corsica and the Paca region of southern France currently count 66,570 mooring rings spread across some 142 marinas, representing around 40 per cent of France's total capacity.
The number of people registered on the waiting list for mooring spaces in the area has reached 22,000 however, hence the importance for the new projects to go ahead.
