The economic doom and gloom has led to an increase in caravan bookings, an expert has said.
According to a spokesperson from the Caravan Club, this type of holiday has number of benefits, such as a "better value" experience for cash-strapped tourists.
Furthermore, the spokesperson added that "people appreciate the freedom and flexibility that caravanning offers".
In fact, around two million Brits take caravan holiday each year, figures from the National Caravan Council have revealed.
