Holidaymakers heading off to sunnier climes this summer have been advised to take the same safety precautions they would when at home.
Adam Vaitilingam, author of the Rough Guide to Antigua and Barbuda, has warned holidaymakers that some people tend to behave differently on vacation - such as walking home late at night or leaving valuable items lying around.
Mr Vaitilingam said that popular overseas destinations are "incredibly safe" for tourists and crime rates are "normally exceptionally low".
