Budget airline EasyJet wants to offer year-round flights to and from Paris, Bastia and Ajaccio for 40 one way.
EasyJet currently operates flights linking Europe to Corsica during the summer months only.
With Ajaccio-Paris representing around 500,000 passengers a year, the airline is hoping to run three return flights a day.
Francois Baccheta, general manager of EasyJet France, will be offering his candidacy to link Corsica's two main towns with Paris-Orly in a few days.
He told Club Corsica: "The low-cost airlines are everywhere in the Mediterranean except in Corsica. The main brake is transport tax."
