Lying at a depth of 25 to 28 metres in the Bay of Calvi is the famous American bomber B17, a popular site among experienced scuba divers.
The bomber has become an artificial reef for a number of underwater species and remains a living relic of World War 2.
The wreck is 23 by 32 metres and its well preserved engines, propellers, wings and fuselage make the trip to the Island of Beauty well worth it.
Calvi is located in north Corsica, about one and a half hours from north Corsica's capital Bastia.
