"The holiday is becoming sacrosanct" and people are less willing to cancel one in order to save money than they were ten years ago, Luxury Travel Magazine has said today.
Editor, Alyson Cook, said that particularly in the luxury travel market people are "cash-rich but time-poor and the time that they spend with their family on holiday is increasingly more important to them."
A recent survey found more than half of respondents will not be changing their travel plans in the near future, "credit crunch or otherwise". They also won't be altering destination choice, with 56 per cent being totally inflexible on where they go.
