Olive growing is one of Corsica's important productions and the island has seen an increase in its exports for a few years since the media first started to praise olive oil benefits on health.
Along with honey and chestnut jam, the Corsican olive oil deserves a tasting and will certainly delight friends and family back home.
Every year, Corsica celebrates the "Fiera di l'Alivu" in Montegrosso, located just outside Calvi in the Balagne area.
This year's festival will take place on July, 19th and 20th.
