In the rush of planning the next holiday, flight, hotel or guided tour, people sometimes forget to renew their travel insurance contract, however those who do so are putting themselves at great risk, it has been claimed.
The first step into booking a holiday, even if it is a short holiday to Europe, should be to book travel insurance.
Carefree travel is affordable nowadays and policies will ensure you are covered in case of an accident, baggage loss, or if you have to cancel your trip.
Peter Gerrard, head of the online comparison service Moneysupermarket.com, advised travellers to take out an annual policy if they intend to go on holiday at least three times a year.
"Annual policies are so cheap now. Before they used to be a couple of hundred pounds, but now you can get an annual policy for an individual just going to Europe for just over £30," he said.
It is also advisable to check the details of the insurance policy as some sports may not be covered for example and would require you to pay for an extra cover.
To be able to fully enjoy Corsica's wonderful water sport activities, being equipped with a good insurance policy prior to travelling could save you from unnecessary insurance concerns.
