Fans of salsa, reggae and Latino music should start booking their accommodation for the tenth annual Porto Latino festival.
Held at the beginning of August in Corsica, the festival features a host of highly-acclaimed musicians over four days at Saint-Florent's citadel.
Renowned French singer Bernard Lavilliers, who has released his last album "Saturday evening in Beyrouth" earlier this year, is to join Cuban, Mexican and Colombian bands for this year's edition.
Maraca and Raul Paz will perform on the first evening for a taste of Cuban music, followed by Bernard Lavilliers the next day and the famous No Smoking Orchestra of Emir Kusturica from eastern Europe on the last day, Corse Matin reports.
Emir Kusturica's performance will be part of his new tour to Europe and a host of other places worldwide starting April 19th in Caracas in Venezuela.
Situated on the coast in northern Corsica, Saint-Florent is less than half an hour from Bastia. Direct low-cost EasyJet flights from London will start flying into Bastia from May this year.
