Corsica will be represented at the Salon du Livre in Paris for the 28th time this year to promote the island's literature on a national scale.
The Salon du Livre, which continues until next Wednesday, is one of the most important events in the world of literature attracting around 175,000 visitors every year.
The number of publishers and writers from Corsica present for the event has been steadily increasing over the years since 2005, and the island now holds a 100 sq metre stand uniting no less than14 different publishing houses and 33 authors.
The publishing houses present this year include Alain Piazzola, Anima Corsa, Colonna, les Fior di Carta and Journal de la Corse.
Cartoonist Batti, Pierre-Jean Luccioni, Michele Castelli, Jean-Pierre Mattei, Sampiero Sanguinetti, historian Michel Verge Franceschi and poet Marie-Jean Vinciguerra will all be present to autograph their works.
From comic strips to drama, via foreign literature and stands on various literary professions, the event is a must for all book lovers who can enjoy losing themselves in an 18,000 sq metre hall devoted entirely to art and literature.
