Corsica's culture is about to enter a new era with the introduction of its first-ever short films festival.
The event offers a great opportunity to discover the island's identity and traditions as many Corsican actors and film directors will be invited to give talks about short films and their own creations.
The event will take place over five days, in a different place each day. Miggliaciaro was the first venue yesterday and the screening is moving to Porto Vecchio for tonight. On December 20th it will take place in Corte, Bastia on December 21st and in Campo dell' Oro on December 22nd.
Eleven films will be presented throughout the evening, punctuated by talks from various artists.
To mention only a few figuring on the list, are American Dream by Jean-Michel Ropers, Leaves by Paul Sciacca, The Blue Door by Sam Azulis, and many others.
Alix Ferraris, organiser of the event told outil-culturel.corse.fr: "Our aim is to promote Corsican culture in its diversity. We want to put forward young film directors and their short films."
Another short films festival, the Furiani festival, organised by the same organisation KVA product, is to take place next April.
