Taking a trip to Corsica over the winter period could provide Brits with a low-cost luxury holiday, according to reports.
The popular Mediterranean destination is a key feature in winter sun cruise holidays due to its warmer than average climate.
And its reputation as an emerging destination means that air fares to the island, like package cruise tours, are reasonably priced.
In fact, Corsica has been named as one of the bargain holiday destinations for Brits looking for some winter sun over the Christmas and New Year period by the Western Mail.
The Cardiff-based newspaper names the destination alongside Goa, Holland the French Alps as the best places to go for a last-minute holiday this winter.
Popular with celebrities, Corsica has recently been named as one of the world's best islands by the National Geographic Traveler magazine.
The island's cuisine, beaches and friendly locals were all commended by the publication and its readers.
