Former supermodel Rachel Hunter has celebrated her 40th birthday on the island of Corsica.
The New Zealander is clearly a fan of the Mediterranean island, given she chose to be there on such a seminal occasion.
Rod Stewart's ex also enjoyed parties in Paris and London, reports Australia's Daily Telegraph.
Hunter is just the latest in a long line of high-profile figures to visit Corsica. French president Nicolas Sarkozy escaped from troubles at home for a two-day break on the island last week.
The Telegraph recently highlighted Corsica as an 'autumn hot spot', with average temperatures of above 20 degrees Celsius.
Autumn is a nice time to visit because outside of the busy summer season, with Italian and French pupils back at school, there is profound peace to complement the year-round charms of the island.
Corsica has the sunshine record for France, with an impressive 2,793 hours per year.
