Cupabia Beach
You must visit this silver sand and truly beautiful beach beyond Porto Pollo. To get there, drive through Serra di Ferro and continue for about 3km until you arrive at a T-junction signposted Ajaccio and Coti Chjavari to the left. Take the left turn marked Coti Chjavari and, then immediately after, turn left again, signposted to Cupabia and follow this road where, after approximately 2½km, you will arrive at the beach.
Filitosa
Lying in the countryside of the Taravo valley on the north side of the Valinco Gulf is Filitosa, a collection of menhirs. Filitosa is one of the most important prehistoric sites in Corsica, and was discovered in 1946 by Charles-Antoine Cesari. The oldest findings on the site date back to approximately 6000BC which, with subsequent discoveries, indicate that there was a human population living in caves in this area as early as 3300BC. Allow about one/one and a half-hours to walk around the parkland setting of the stones, and to visit the small museum afterwards.
Eating Out
Although the hotel doesn't serve dinner there are a few restaurants in the village you can walk to.
