I liked this, its a sweet little place! Its very modern inside but still has a lot of character. Villanova is surrounded by some adorable grounds and is only walking distance from the quaint little town of Tiuccia where youll find a butcher and a supermarket. Being a small town there are only a couple of restaurants on the main road so if you like small scale this is ideal...

Boat trip

Wander the sheltered harbourside of Bonifacio Port, take a trip from the port around the Grottes et Falaises (caves and cliffs) or to the Iles de Lavezzis providing the opportunity to view the magnificent coastal rock formations from the sea. Why not take a trip to Sardinia for the day? Take the ferry across, market day at Santa Theresa di Gallura is Thursday.

Drive the Road to the Golfe de Porto

The coast of the Golfe de Porto is one of Corsica's most famous landscapes. The pinnacles and ravines of the red granite Calanches soar out of beautiful blue seas framed by the jagged peaks of Paglia Orba. They are best explored by foot or by boat. Boat trips can be taken from Porto to Scandola.

Greek Cargese

Cargese is a village famous for having given asylum to Greek refugees that sought refuge in Corsica in 1676, its attractions include two churches; one, a white Catholic church with its superb view, the other, a brightly coloured Greek Orthodox church, equipped with the bells from the cathedral at Vitylo, each stand facing each other.

Plage de Liscia

This long strand of golden sand is the beach of Tiuiccia and is one of the best in the area. It is flanked on either side by two Genoese towers and the gentle slope of the sand and the calm, shallow water makes it ideal for young children.

With the beach just footsteps away and stunning views from most terraces out over the sea towards the mountains, the setting is ideal for a beach holiday, either for couples or a small family. There are plenty of activities in the area, including watersports, canyoning, cycling and walking; and a couple of restaurants can be found just a short stroll away. Being set in the Gulf of Sagone, this résidence is a great base from which to explore what this varied coastline has to offer. Take a day off from relaxing on the beach and head for the Scandola Nature Reserve, a breathtaking area of rugged red cliffs or travel a little further to the picturesque villages of Porto and Piana. Villanova is a small, welcoming property and a perfect place from which to discover Corsica’s most unspoilt landscapes.
