What We Think
Casa Santa Maria is a wonderful family villa with a comfortable and homely feel. The property charmingly blends classic Corsican décor such as cool terracotta floor tiles and bare stonework with modern furnishings and neutral colours. Set over two levels, the upper floor is reached via a stone staircase with the master bedroom enjoying its own balcony. There are a further three bedrooms on the ground floor, as well as spacious open plan living areas and a well-equipped rustic style kitchen. Wide French windows open from many rooms onto the inviting terrace where you can really embrace the al fresco way of life with a built-in barbecue and patio furniture. From here, steps lead down to the delightful grounds, which are very much a key feature of this villa. With a large lawn surrounded by verdant borders and filled with olive trees, palms and flowers as well as a sun drenched free form pool, children stay entertained for hours whilst adults can unwind, soaking up the sunshine. The quaint village of Figari is only minutes away with a small number of cafés, restaurants and local shops. There is also a good choice of beaches in the area including the famous Palombaggia and Santa Giulia as well as the quieter coves that line the Figari Gulf. Casa Santa Maria is a truly welcoming property and sure to become a firm favourite with our guests.
