Perched on a small peninsula facing Porto Vecchio’s prestigious harbour, le Goéland is a charming hotel in a truly privileged location. Encircled by crystal clear waters and passing yachts, the hotel offers enviable views over the bay and beyond to the maquis covered hillsides. The lawned gardens are a real delight, set on the shore with towering pines, eucalyptus trees and palms providing plenty of shade for comfortable seating areas. At night, they are beautifully lit up by candlelight and provide the perfect venue for an apéritif and a few tapas, whilst dinner is served on the terrace with a good choice of quality dishes and excellent local wines.
With only 34 rooms varying in size and view, the hotel boasts a real intimate feel and laid back atmosphere. The rooms are decorated in neutral colours mixing authentic wood and stone furnishings with modern conveniences. The harbour of Porto Vecchio is only a short stroll away with its array of restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours, and there are also many boat trips available from the marina.
