What We Think
In the very heart of Patrimonio, neighbouring the 13th Century St Martin’s church and surrounded by the region’s famous vineyards, La Maison de Marie is a delightful villa and a welcome addition to our 2013 collection. Designed over two floors, this holiday home is stylishly decorated in soft pastel shades with natural wood furnishings and an eclectic mix of ornaments. The privileged master bedroom occupies the whole of the first floor whilst a further double and twin bedroom are set on the ground level. From the open plan living/ dining room, patio doors open out onto the inviting terrace where leisurely barbecue meals are sure to be a regular event. Here at night, the backdrop is just magical with spotlights highlighting the ancient church steeple and mesmerising reflections dancing across the pool.
The gardens of La Maison de Marie, formerly known as A Vigna Sulana, are filled with manicured borders and twisted olive trees surround a free-form swimming pool, a fully equipped summer kitchen and a boules pitch – take time soaking up the sunshine, enjoy a cooling dip or immerse yourself in Corsican culture with a friendly game of pétanque. Throughout the summer, the village of Patrimonio comes to life with a handful of local shops and restaurants as well as many local caves open for a spot of wine tasting. La Maison de Marie is the ideal choice for couples and families alike and the perfect spot for a truly memorable holiday.
