What We Think
A Casuccia is a converted stone-built house set in a tranquil spot on the Costa Verde. In an area surrounded by the sweet chestnut forests of the Castagniccia, the property enjoys beautiful mountain views whilst positioned only 5 minutes’ drive from Moriani Plage and its long stretch of golden sand. Recently restored, the house retains much of its original character with exposed stonework throughout, beamed ceilings and traditional furnishing delightfully combined with contemporary touches. Amongst these rustic surroundings, the villa also comes with air-conditioning and a private swimming pool, well suited for families and couples alike. For those who want to explore the island, Bastia, Corte and Porto Vecchio can easily be reached via the main roads while the sleepy villages of the Castagniccia are only minutes away. There are also plenty of way-marked trails nearby – dense chestnut forests, old chapels and steep hillsides overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea will reward any keen walkers. When not out and about, guests welcome the tranquillity of their own villa by spending most of their time under the pergola enjoying lingering Corsican meals, the occasional apéritif and fabulous views towards the mountains.
