Set in a rural location with a lovely mature garden of over two acres and neighbouring the owner’s house, Villa Mathieu is a traditionally furnished and simply equipped holiday villa. Nestled in extensive grounds filled with flowering shrubs, fruit and olive trees, the villa offers a delightful and authentic Mediterranean setting as well as a genuine sense of privacy. The house itself is quirky and comprises a basic kitchen, a large living room with exposed stone-walls and a door leading to the terrace. Further along, there are two interconnecting double and bunk-bedded rooms and a simple bathroom. Decorated in a traditional and somewhat rustic style, Villa Mathieu is a great base for a relaxing holiday whether you wish to spend most of your time exploring the surrounding area or simply lazing by the pool. The picturesque mountain village of Oletta is only 5 minutes drive away and there are ample walks around the village offering stunning views across the bay of St Florent and both sides of Cap Corse. The charming waterfront of St Florent with its array of shops, cafés and restaurants can also be reached within a 10-minute drive.
