A firm favourite with returning guests, this superbly refurbished old stone house is one of a cluster of houses just on the outskirts of St Florent and a short walk from the magnificent Cathédrale du Nebbio, one of the most visited monuments on the island. Carefully renovated with great attention to detail, the house offers a delightful blend of old and new exposed stonework, open fireplaces, original staircases and stripped wooden floors mixed with comfortable furnishings and the modern conveniences our guests expect in a quality villa. The house is spacious and airy, with modern furniture and antique style decorations giving the house comfort and a contemporary French style whilst still reflecting La Cathédrale’s authenticity. Delightful enclosed gardens planted with lavender and other Mediterranean shrubs surround the large pool with views over fields towards the cathedral, and there is a large terrace around the house where you can sit and enjoy an al fresco meal or just relax in the sun with a book. Although not particularly recommended for families with younger children due to the steep internal staircases, the location is very much appreciated by older families or couples who will enjoy taking the walk to the centre of St Florent with its tempting restaurants and elegant marina that buzz with life in the height of summer.
