The Calisti family of Erbalunga used their gains from sugar cane trading in the Dominican Republic to build a splendid “Maison Américaine” which unfortunately fell into disrepair before being acquired by the Pieri family twenty years ago. Since this time, the Pieri’s have worked wonders, sympathetically restoring, developing and expanding one of the village’s main landmarks into an outstanding hotel which receives enthusiastic praise from our customers, not only for the comfort of the accommodation but for the friendly and personal family welcome. Now consisting of three separate buildings linked by pathways through the verdant gardens, the hotel features two swimming pools complete with sauna and Jacuzzi. The breakfast terrace, shaded by olive trees and palms, provides the perfect spot to plan a day out exploring the dramatic and unspoilt region of Cap Corse – you will be dazzled by the sheer beauty of this area, accentuated by rugged cliffs, quiet fishing villages, rocky coves and old chapels. For a more bustling atmosphere, Bastia with its daily market, old port and wide range of amenities, is also within easy reach.
