Beach

The main beach in St Florent can be reached on foot from the port de plaisance or by car .   There are a multitude of water sports available including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, Jet skis and diving. 

Patrimonio Wine

Patrimonio is the first village you come to on leaving St Florent and was the first wine region to be granted an appellation d’origine contrôlée in Corsica. Indeed many of the vineyards here offer wine tasting in their domains and the famous local muscat can also be sampled at one of the caves. There is now a route des vins, which will lead you to all the vineyards, just follow the brown road signs. 

Boat trip to Lodo

The Désert des Agriates is a landscape of wild maquis and rocky cliffs. Take a boat trip to one of its beaches, inaccessible by car, or rent a boat yourself to explore the hidden coastline around the town. Boats from the harbour will take you to the beaches of Saleccia and Lodo (3-6 departures a day and a 30 min trip). You can also get to these beaches on quad bikes (see activities section) that can be hired locally or for the more adventurous try kayaking.

Windows

A number of the windows open fully to make the most of the breeze, make sure that you take care with drafts and items that could be knocked over by a gust.

The owners of Villa U Pezzu are appreciative of a fine sea view ­and there is surely none more breathtaking than from this wonderful family home. Afternoons spent on the sun terrace will drift by lazily as you watch the yachts traverse the Gulf of St Florent on their way to the secluded beaches of the Désert des Agriates. On the Fromentica hillside, high above St Florent, U Pezzu offers guests the opportunity to observe the bustling resort from a distance. The house itself is very well equipped, tastefully furnished whilst remaining uncluttered, and enjoys spacious rooms and hallways, with the four en­suite bedrooms allowing all members of the party a feeling of privacy, as well as their own view of the coastline. The kitchen area is stylish and well planned. As well as its exclusive position, a major benefit this villa offers is the wonderfully mature garden. The driveway winds its way through bursts of Mediterranean colour up to the lawns, olive trees, palms and terraces surrounding the house, but it is the spectacular swimming pool which completes the idyllic picture ­previous guests of the villa have rarely been spotted in town, having failed to tear themselves away from the cooling waters!
