Although not the best known of Corsica’s holiday regions, the Costa Verde features some of its most expansive beaches. Charming Villa Bighelli is beautifully situated with long stretches of sand just metres from the house. As you stroll through the trees at the end of the garden, you will find yourself with a view of sands as far as the eye can see and the ocean waves lapping at the coastline. The shallow slope of the beach makes for ideal family bathing and the extensive gardens and lawn of the villa provide a further oasis of peace or an ideal area for children to play. Monsieur and Madame Bighelli’s house is built in traditional regional stone and the décor is unpretentious, simple and rustic. The resort of Moriani Plage is just a short drive to the south, or a half hour stroll along the beach if you need to make that refreshing apéritif even more well- deserved! For those who wish to explore further afield, the Castagniccia, a huge forest of sweet chestnut trees, nestles in the hills behind should you wish to take a break from the beach and enjoy an easy mountain walk. Villa Bighelli is the perfect option for families looking for a relaxing beach holiday.
