This is a great base for a couple. Sant’Ambroggio is a resort village set around a pleasure-port (where you will find a couple of café brasseries, a butchers and a grocers).

Panorama from Occi

Walk to the abandoned village of Occi, an hour's circular walk from Lumio village. The village was deserted when the water dried up but the view from the top is amazing and the spot very atmospheric. The panorama takes in the resort village of Sant'Ambroggio, you should even be able to see your apartment.

Craft Trail

Follow the Strada di L’Artigiani, the Artisans route; a craft trail where you can visit workshops and buy the wares of the local artists.

Let the Train take the strain.

Why not take a trip on the train to Calvi or Ile Rousse. It is a good idea to make note of any beach that catches your eye on your outward journey so that you can disembark on your return trip. There are three fare stages from Calvi to Ile Rousse and a ticket is needed for each stage. A carnet, a book of six tickets, is a return journey. Tickets are valid for any day so if you buy in bulk you can use them whenever you want.
