Walk to Occi

Walk to the abandoned village of Occi, an hour's circular walk from Lumio village. The village was deserted when the water dried up but the view from the top is amazing and the spot very atmospheric.

Garden Lovers

Drive to the other side of Ile Rousse and you will find Le Parc de Saleccia, a must for garden lovers! The park has a wide range of Mediterranean plants and is great to explore.

'Mata Hari' Beach - Arinella

Drive down the hill and after crossing the railway line, you will reach the car park where the beach is directly in front of you. There is also the superb Mata Hari restaurant at which you will be able eat with the sand at your feet and Calvi across the bay.

Large French windows lead from the open plan living area to the terrace making an ideal spot for relaxation. Should you fancy a quick dip, the decked pool area is set above the villa and affords superb views out over Calvi bay. The beach at Lumio is delightful and there is an excellent beachside restaurant where you can sample the day’s catch. Casa Vigna Maggiore is a perfect choice for those looking for a convenient base for two, to either spend time lounging by the pool or going out and about exploring the beautiful Balagne area.
