“Location, Location, Location” is what this property is all about! The evening before we visited this apartment, we were exploring the main tourist area in Calvi wandering around the marina, stopping at restaurants and bars and admiring the tall old buildings that are on either side of the cobbled street. The next day we visited A Chjova and found ourselves in one of those buildings overlooking the very restaurant we had eaten in!...

Take the train

Why not walk the 100m to the station and hop on the train to Ile Rousse? The trainline hugs to the coast so on the way there, check out the beaches you fancy a stop at on the return journey.

Eat on the Place de l'Eglise

Just a few steps from your front door is the charming, Place de l'Eglise, in front of the pink church of Santa Maria, there are restaurants either side that spill out over the square including the Santa Maria and the Chez Doumé, they offer a good choice of food and cater very well for kids.

The harbourside at your feet

Step just outside for the restaurants of Calvi. Just below you on the quai Landry there are numerous oppertunities for watching the gin palaces arrive in port whilst you sip on a cocktail yourself.

Apartment Description

Located along the busy cobbled Rue Clémenceau in the heart of Calvi, A Chjova is named after the small passage that used to run from this spot down to the port below. The apartment is set over two levels and there is a small balcony (accessed from the twin bedroom) which is just large enough for a couple to sit outside and watch the world go by. From the double bedroom and kitchen windows you can glimpse the port and the sea beyond. The town of Calvi is on your doorstep with a wide choice of bars, cafés and restaurants both on the Piazza Crudelli and the Quai Landry, everyone’s favourite evening promenade overlooking the marina. For lazy days soaking up the sun, the beach at Calvi is just a short walk away or should you wish to explore further afield the coastal train will take you along the coast to the hidden beaches, seaside towns and villages of the Balagne.
