We stayed here during a Resort Trip and it was good to be a walk away from the centre of town yet still being in a larger property. The décor is not to all tastes, the furniture is a little heavy (leather sofas) with a big solid wood French table - good for eating at. Each time I see the property though it grows on me and although Aghia Marina is a very traditional holiday home it is really good for larger parties and good value for money. A really fun house to stay in...

Boat Trip

Take a boat or catamaran trip from Calvi harbour to nearby creeks and scenic bays, and discover the natural beauty of Corsica from the sea. There are trips from the Quai Landry to the Scandola National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Notre Dame de la Serra

Take the car up to the fabulous viewpoint of Notre Dame de la Serra (if you are the energetic sort you can walk but do take a sun hat and water as it is a very long climb). At 216m above Calvi, you will be rewarded by one of the most wonderful and truly inspiring views across the bay below, you may even catch some music.

Situated next door to Villa Prince Pierre and just a short drive away from the centre of Calvi, Villa Aghia Marina is a spacious and simply furnished villa, ideal for families or groups of friends. The property features a spacious living/dining room and four large bedrooms including two doubles with en­suite facilities. The interior décor is rustic and very traditional, yet the quirky accommodation offers a great sense of tranquillity and comfort. All the rooms are light and pleasantly airy, the majority with French doors leading onto the terrace and the swimming pool area. Our guests tend to spend most of their time relaxing out here, enjoying the many summer barbecues, the pool area and the glimpses of sea views on offer. For those guests wishing to get a feel for the town of Calvi, have a wander on the Quai Landry with its bustling cafés, restaurants and super yachts, or get lost in the narrow alleyways of the Citadel – all within easy reach of the property. The villa has been welcoming Corsican Places guests for many years and early booking is now very much recommended. With neighbouring Villa Prince Pierre, these two great villas are also ideal for larger parties wanting to holiday together.
