Up some very steep stone steps in Calvi Citadel, on arrival the entrance is a little unappealing - I wondered where I was being sent! Once through the door and past the kitchen and shower room (a strange layout but one you get used to), we reached the spacious living area with its fabulous picture windows that look out over Calvi bay - this view was worth the detour...

Calvi to l’Ile Rousse and beyond by train is a fantastic train journey along the beautiful coast to L’Ile Rousse - the perfect option for beach hopping or for exploring!

The best place to sit with a good book is the Balcony, you can watch the boats coming and going with views across Calvi bay.

Apartment Description

With steep stone steps leading to the front door and located on the second floor of an age-old building that also houses Studio Castille, Apartment Raffalli is a one bedroom apartment with character. The décor is for some a little quirky with an eclectic assortment of rustic furniture complemented by light walls and vaulted ceilings. The two large windows in the living area open onto the balcony with magnificent, uninterrupted views over the bay towards the mountains – this is certainly the highlight of choosing to stay in the Citadel. There are a few facilities within the Citadel including a couple of traditional restaurants, a salon de thé and a popular piano bar. A wider choice of facilities including boulangeries, épiceries, bars and sandy beach can also be found within walking distance of the apartment.
