Located within 3.5 acres of private woodland scattered with wild herbs and where an imposing 300 year old olive tree stands guard, this charming converted stone barn lies just two kilometres away from the heart of Calvi town. The house has been converted with great flair and attention to detail, and inside, the property is a treasure trove of antiques and subtle touches which will make any guest feel instantly at home. The beamed ceilings, some remarkable reclaimed doors and original metal rings built into the stone where the cattle were originally tethered, add to the charm and uniqueness of this property. The accommodation is set on two sides of the courtyard and terrace, and further down the garden, the swimming pool with its large pergola lies in character with the setting, affording a truly relaxing atmosphere. Positioned between the glamorous resort of Calvi and the majestic mountains of la Balagne, La Vaccaja is a unique property and provides very comfortable accommodation whilst retaining much of its authenticity – a firm favourite with our more discerning guests.
