Strada di l'Artigiani - the Artisans trail
The fortress villages of the Haute-Balagne perched high above the sea and surrounded by terraces that produced olives, wine and figs together with plentiful citrus groves are some of the most picturesque on the island. Backed by the dramatic mountain landscapes, many of the villages are nearly a thousand years old. Follow the Strada di L’Artigiani, the Artisans route; a craft trail where you can visit workshops and buy the wares of the local artists.
Snacks on the beach
On the beach you will find a typical “beach bar”, Le Padule - with small building but good, well shaded outdoor area on the sand. Excellent for simple, quick snacks at lunchtime.
Beach and Souvenirs
One of the longest beaches in the Balagne, the sandiest part of Algajola beach is at the eastern end so requires quite a walk from the hotel. For a 'souvenir' why not visit the 'poterie' just behind the hotel.
