Tucked away there is a sense of privacy and intimacy that you don't expect to find in Davia, there are usually just too many neighbours!...

Davia Beaches

There are two usually uncrowded beaches on the Davia peninsula, for the nearest take the road back to the railway bridge and head down to the left, the Avenue de Vignola. The beach is at the bottom with car parking.

Ile Rousse Market

Wander the streets of Ile Rousse old town and make sure you take a trip to the market held every morning in a majestic covered market place. The produce is local and fresh and includes fish, vegetables, local honey, charcuterie and cheeses.

Terrace by the sea.

Relax with a good book on the lower terrace, tucked in against the rocks, just listening to the waves below and soaking up the sun. Of an evening, take a glass of aperitif down to the same terrace and soak up the sunset over the sea, truly spectacular.

A simple villa with “les pieds dans l’eau” direct access to the sea, Villa Ambroise is loved by both the owner and our guests for its truly beautiful location. Comfortably accommodating four adults and furnished in a cool monochrome style, the villa is fresh and airy throughout with high ceilings and large picture windows that open from the lounge onto the terrace with magnificent views out to sea. Throughout the day you can enjoy listening to the ocean lapping below but the best moment is undoubtedly at the day’s end, when you can sit on the terrace, sipping your apéritif, whilst watching the sun setting. Situated in a quiet corner of Marine de Davia, the villa is surrounded by lush green gardens which descend to the sea. With care, you can swim or snorkel from the rocks below the house or for beach lovers, a sandy shoreline is just 500 metres away. Villa Ambroise is a perfect base from which to explore the fine beaches, quaint seaside villages and the dramatic mountains La Balagne region has to offer, and a superb choice for uninterrupted, open views of the Mediterranean.
